From our family to yours, Copes Café & Pizzeria is the dream of our founder Wayne Copeland. Wayne was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, in the inner-city neighborhoods of the Hill District and Garfield. He went on to win 4 straight city basketball championships at Peabody High School and Perry Traditional Academy. After high school Wayne went on to play college basketball at the Community College of Beaver County in Beaver, PA and Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. He then went on to play basketball overseas in Denmark, Australia, and Germany. Wayne’s goal is to provide a place where you can get not only great tasting pizza and soul food, but the best tasting Italian Ice in town.
